Baby Policy

My facility is kept immaculately clean and is prepared for the babies long before they are hatched. Healthy stock produce healthy newborns and lots of them. When the babies are hatched, the real work begins!

For the first two months of the animals' lives, I take great care to make sure every animal gets used to the idea of eating; we maintain a regular feeding regimen on a strict schedule. Then babies go through a 16 week training program, a kind of chondro “boot camp.” During this time, the animals are heavily fed with the intent of instilling the animal with  proper feeding habits that will persist throughout the rest of its life.

There are several reasons for following such a stringent feeding program before allowing my animals to go to their new homes. The most important is that it makes the initial move to the new home easier for the new owner and it helps the animals to handle the stress of the move more easily. When the time comes to move the animals to adult cages, the owners will again find the move is much easier for the animal and its owner. An animal that eats regularly is much easier to keep and maintain....and down the line, better feeders make better breeders.

When it comes to chondros, the first 6 months of life are critical in molding a chondro to be an animal that will provide you with the pleasure it should. My goal is to provide you with the hardiest, healthiest, best quality animals possible. All babies will be feeding on thawed, unscented pinks/hoppers at the time of sale. All babies produced here are from very docile parents unless otherwise noted.  Chondros purchased from me come with wonderful dispositions!

If you go to the homepage and then "Updates" you'll get a brief description of each animal. There are some absolute gems here. I have other animals available for the serious breeder. Both the GGW/Babydoll's as well as the Neon male would fit that requirement as well. The Black Pearl animal will be very difficult to price because there is nothing to compare her to. This is a going to be a solid yellow animal that can be bred back to back for the next 10 years. Not a sterile one off type animal.
